Political parties giving short shrift to OBCs
Former Congress MP Chinta Mohan gave a call to OBCs to fight for political reservation on par with SCs and STs. He participated as a chief guest in a meeting held with leaders of various political parties on OBCs development at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday.

Addressing the gathering, Chinta Mohan said that even the Congress government also did not give the expected benefits to the OBCs across the country. He mentioned that all the political parties including BJP did not show interest on OBCs development for the last 70 years.
The Congress leader stated that the OBCs can do wonders in national-level politics if they get 27 per cent in political reservation. Later, BC Sangharshana Samithi leader Anna Ramachandraiah Yadav stated that all the successive governments have neglected the OBCs development. Even, rule of reservation is not being implemented properly in government jobs for OBCs, he charged.
YSRCP leader Sakam Prabhakar mentioned that OBCs should unite first without any personal agendas, then only OBCs fight for political reservation will become success. Later, Intellectual forum member Dr B Sukumar stated that SC, ST and OBCs should come together to fight for their rights.
In the meeting, OBC Mahajana Front convener Maheswari Yadav, Kuraba Sangam leader B Bhaskar Rayal, Samajika Vedika district convener P Prabhakar and Gowda Sangam leader Narayana Swamy Gowda were present.
