Restaurants new destination for functions
The medium range restaurants in the city turned into busiest venues for marriages, birthdays and other occasional parties and functions. Presently, the restaurants also made offers with exclusive packages by providing space from 100 to 1000 people for various functions.

Even group of employees, including private and government, prefers to conduct their meets in the restaurants as part of city trends. Even the small-sized restaurants are also being treated as big venues for most of the functions.
Nearly 106 restaurants are there in the city and all are being run successfully says one restaurant owner K Appa Rao who runs a restaurant at Benz Circle. He said that the people could get space easily as not like exclusive function halls which are always bustling with activities.
Speaking to The Hans India here on Tuesday, M Srinivasa Rao, a supervisor in a busy restaurant in Mogalrajapuram, said that they charge Rs 25,000 for 100 members. They provide a 100-member seating capacity hall, meals and drinks, along with the package, he added.
He said that several packages are available from 100 members up to 1,000 members. The restaurants have become more popular in performing family functions when citizens prefer to book halls for birthdays and marriage related functions, he added.
Several big function halls are available in the city but middle-class and above middle-class people are preferring to book these venues for celebrating family functions. V Ramireddy who visited a restaurant on Tuesday to book a hall for his friend's family function said the halls could be booked easily by visiting websites. Once the menu was finalised by discussing the restaurant organisers, all the necessary arrangements would be provided as per schedule, he said.
He also expressed satisfaction on the function halls in restaurants as those are more convenient to middle class people that was reason for majority of them selecting function halls in the city restaurants.
