Amaravati: The State government issued orders on Wednesday making implementation of e-office and biometric attendance mandatory at the Secretariat, offices of Heads of Departments (HoDs), all district offices and autonomous organisations.

Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar said government appointed the Secretary (Political) as nodal authority and the Project Director of Human Resource Management System (HRMS) & Additional Secretary to government, General Administration Department, as deputy nodal authority to monitor the implementation of e-office and biometric attendance in all government offices.

The nodal authority will monitor the implementation of the systems across Secretariat and the State, prepare reports for review at the level of the Chief Secretary and the Chief Minister and deploy the required IT applications for monitoring.

It will also initiate action against defaulters, inspect offices and issue instructions, depute staff from Secretariat or any HoD for inspections in the State and initiate any action connected with successful implementation of the e-Office and biometric attendance.

Secretary of ITE&C department is directed to provide technical assistance such as development of required IT applications, procurement, deployment and maintenance of hardware and personnel for the above tasks as required by the nodal authority.
