Nellore: Members of Gorakshak Sangathans were targeting minorities across the country and attacking them, alleged CPM rural secretary and former Deputy Mayor Madala Venkateswarlu.

CPM leaders and activists organised a rally in protest against the attacks on their party offices across the country by the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders. They took out a rally from CPM office to Vedayapalem Centre in Nellore city and staged protest at the Centre on Sunday.

They raised slogans against the NDA government and also BJP. Speaking to the mediapersons, CPM leader Madala Venkateswarlu alleged that 205 CPM activists and leaders were killed by the BJP and RSS leaders in Kerala. “BJP leaders are accusing CPM leaders and making false allegations. They have been attacking our party offices across the country,” said M Venkateswarlu.

With the support of the BJP-led NDA government, members of Gorakshak Sangathans have been attacking minorities across the country, he alleged. Central government had failed to stop the merciless killings, alleged the CPM leader.

He also said that BJP leaders were trying to defame the LDF government in Kerala. Venkateswarlu appealed to the people to condemn attacks on CPM offices and also on minority leaders. CPM leaders Alladi Gopal, Ramamma, Saheena and others were present.
