Kurnool: District Collector S Sathya Narayana called upon people to transform Kurnool into corruption-free district. He participated in Vigilance Awareness Week on anti-corruption held at the Collectorate here on Wednesday.

Addressing the officials, the Collector informed them to discharge duties with responsibility. The government is implementing several welfare schemes to uplift the weaker sections of the society, he added and exhorted them to implement schemes with commitment.

Recalling the launch of number 1100 by the state government, the Collector said people can register graft complaints by dialing it. Development is possible only by eradicating corruption, he stated. Later, Sathya Narayana administered an anti-graft pledge to officials.

Joint Collector Prasanna Venkatesh said corruption is a major hurdle for the development. It is our primary responsibility to fight against corruption and everyone should join hands in weeding out the corruption, the JC said and directed staff to discharge duties with utmost dedication.

ACB DSP Jaya Rama Raju, DRO Gangadhar Goud, CPO Anand Naik, ICDS Project Director Jubeda Begum, Joint Director of Agriculture Uma Maheswaramma and other staff participated.
