Devotees offer prayers at Godavari Ghats for Karthika Masam

On the occasion of Karthika Masam, devotees are gathering in large numbers at the Pushkar Ghats to have a traditional bath at 34 bathing ghats of East and West Godavari districts.

It is considered a tradition to have a river bath in the auspicious month. Women offer prayers on the occasion of Karthika Masam. The devotees decorate the Godavari with lights and clay lamps.

Keeping in view of the heavy rush, the state government has made elaborate arrangements in order to avoid any untoward incidents.
