YSR Congress Party on Friday announced that there is no permission required for the Praja Sankalpa Yatra and that the party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has every right to take up the Padayatra.

Speaking to the reporters in Vijaywada, YSRCP general secretary Talasila Raghuram said that the party organized several public meetings and rallies prior to the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh but no objection was raised back then as the programmes were peacefully conducted with voluntary participation of lakhs of people.

He added that if any problem arises during the Padayatra, it would be only due to TDP, further hinting towards the ruling party leaders behind the incident in Tuni during Kapu reservation movement where a train was torched.

Terming YS Jagan as the leader of the masses, Talasila Raghuram said that the YSRCP Chief has every right to meet the public as he intends to provide assurance to the farmers and youngsters to avoid committing suicides since the government has failed to do so.

He also urged the government to provide security to YS Jagan instead of disrupting their plans of conducting the Padayatra.

The Praja Sankalpa Yatra is scheduled to begin on November 6 at 9 a.m.
