Vijayawada: Backward Classes Joint Action Committee on Monday staged a relay hunger fast demanding the government provide 54 per cent reservations for BCs in the law-making bodies and introduce BC Bill in the Parliament.

Addressing the gathering at Dharna Chowk in Vijayawada city, BCs JAC leader Dhanumjaya said they will continue agitation till they achieve their demands.

He demanded Chief Minister N Chandrababu take up their demand with the Centre to give reservations in legislative bodies. BCs JAC leaders Hemanth Goud, Jalam Srinivas, Mdde Pullaiah Swamy and Govindarajulu participated.
