CM asks students to hone skills
Chief Minister N Chadrababu Naidu on Saturday exhorted the students to develop skills to face the global competition to secure jobs and become successful professionals
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chadrababu Naidu on Saturday exhorted the students to develop skills to face the global competition to secure jobs and become successful professionals in their career. He said IT professionals belong to Telugu States are working as top executives in various multinational companies around the world. The Chief Minister addressed the valedictory function of Mega Job Fair conducted by by Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Academy (APITA) here on Saturday.
Several students, job aspirants, IT professionals and representatives of various corporate companies attended the event at A Convention Hall. The Chief Minister assured the students that he would take the responsibility of marketing and appealed the students to come up with innovative ideas in technology and Internet of Things.
He said every sector should be integrated with IT to create more employment opportunities in the state. He explained how he had developed IT sector in Hyderabad and efforts are being made by the government to attract investments and promote IT sector.
IT Minister Nara Lokesh said 12,985 jobs were created in IT sector in the state during the past three years. He said the government had set the target of providing one lakh IT jobs and two lakh jobs in electronic sector by 2019.
Stating that more number of companies are coming forward to invest in the state, Lokesh said the Chief Minister himself is a brand ambassador to the state to promote IT sector. In all, 1,087 candidates got job offers as 47 companies came forward to provide jobs, Lokesh said. Special Chief Secretary and IT Adviser JA Chowdary, Principal Secretary IT K Vijayanand, AP Information Technology Academy CEO B Sundar and others spoke on the occasion.
