Visakhapatnam: Stating that seeking personal favours from the BJP-led Central government was not his cup of tea though he extended support to BJP and TDP in 2014 elections, actor-turned politician and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan shot off his first ever letter to the Prime Minister’s office demanding that the Centre should rollback its decision of privatising Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) in the interest of the country and people.

Pawan Kalyan has written the letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in support of the ongoing agitation initiated by DCI employees against the privatisation of the public sector firm from the venue of the meeting organised to condole the death of DCI employee N Venkatesh in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. It may be noted that fearing DCI privatisation, 25-year-old Venkatesh committed suicide by jumping before a moving train near Nellimarla mandal in Vizianagaram district on Monday.
