Amaravati: With an aim to make paperless government offices, the AP IT department has developed e-Admission website for education department, which facilitates student to get admission in any college through online.
Launching the website at the Collectors’ Conference at Undavalli on Friday, the e-Pragati officials said the website will allow tenth class students to get admission into intermediate course at their interested college.
In the website all the information of students is available, including his personal details, tenth class marks list, caste certificate and other details. By entering Aadhaar number, the student can apply for admission.
The IT department’s e-Pragati officials also released another website, e-MBook for Panchayat Raj, Roads and Buildings under the e-Pragati. The website will allow officials to know the status of ongoing civil works. Currently, they are bringing 26 departments under the e-Pragati.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had directed the officials to make entire administration paperless by using the technology. He also directed them to complete computerisation of all offices in the state.
To provide digital knowledge and expertise to officials, Naidu suggested e-Pragati officials to provide IT related skills to employees under Digital Savvy Employee programme.
This Digital Savvy Employee programme will be offered for all the third and fourth-class employees and on the request for Group -2 officials in the state.
IT secretary K Vijayanand said that based on suggestions from previous Collectors’ Conference, land is being handed over from IT department to APIIC. He also urged all District Collectors to establish Mee Seva centres in all gram panchayats.
Under the digital literacy programme, 1 crore beneficiaries have been identified across the state. “There will be at least one digitally literate person from each household,” he said.
Vijayanand informed the Chief Minister about the high impact projects planned in the state, like the Animation and Gaming City and Fintech Valley in Visakhapatnam, the launch of brand ‘Amaravati’ which benefit 50,000 artisans, and the Centre of Excellence for Internet of Things.
RTG CEO Ahmed Babu presented a brief update on the activities in RTG state centre. After noticing low percentage in uploading grievances on online, the Chief Minister directed the collectors to ensure cent percent grievances on website.
“Praja Sadhikara Survey is the single source of truth. All departments must follow this and keep the portal updated in real time. Enrolling in PSS and Aadhaar verification must be the only way that beneficiaries receive any resources from the government,” said Chandrababu Naidu.
“There must be 5-member committees formed in each district to coordinate RTG activities like CCTV surveillance, drone and AP Fiber,” he added.
Briefing the overall footfall, Mukesh Kumar Meena, secretary, tourism, said during April-November 2016-17, Chittoor stood first with 2,99,37,649 visitors followed by Krishna district with 1,80,01,400 and Srikakulam coming third with 1,04,01,267 visitors.
Speaking on the need to promote tourism further, Naidu instructed the officials to use natural farming and other innovative methods to promote village and agricultural tourism.
Naidu asked the officials to focus on methods to increase mass tourism and high-end tourism as these two can contribute massively to GSDP.
Meena said the construction of three new Shilparamams in Vizianagaram, Guntur and Kakinada are under progress.
