Hyderabad: Lok Satta founder president Jayaprakash Narayan has extended his support to Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan in the fight against the Union government on the fulfillment of promises made to Andhra Pradesh after the bifurcation of the state.

Pawan called on Jayaprakash Narayan at the latter’s office in the city on Thursday and discussed the Jana Sena’s proposal to float JAC (Joint Action Committee) involving political organisations to achieve the Andhra Pradesh demands.

He announced his party would join hands with Pawan in the struggle for AP rights. Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, the Lok Satta leader welcomed Pawan for taking up the big task of fighting against the Centre on AP issues.

He is aware of the long pending issues would not be addressed in a short time. Jayaprakash asserted the cooperation and coordination of all organisations will fulfil the aspirations of AP people.

He fired a salvo at the BJP-led NDA government for neglecting the Andhra Pradesh in allocating funds and sanctioning the projects announced in the AP Reorgansiation Act.

Prime minister Narendra Modi made the promise of allocation of special funds to the backward districts but the AP got a raw deal, the Lok Satta leader said urged the Centre stop victimising people for their own politics. Pawan Kalyan said that he requested Jayaprakash Narayan to guide him to lead the movement in the future.
