Kurnool: Commissioner of Kurnool Municipal Corporation C B Harinath Reddy has said that it is the sole responsibility of the sanitation officers to take care of sanitation in the city. He held a review meeting with the sanitary inspectors on Monday in the corporation.

Addressing the meeting, the Commissioner directed the sanitary inspectors to ensure sanitation in the city. “No one should complain about the poor sanitation at any place in the city. If any complaint is received, then try to resolve it immediately without delay.

This attitude of the sanitary officers will help build healthy relations among the residents,’’ he stated. He further advised the inspectors to attend the complaints received from people and solve them. The Commissioner said that Swatch Sarvekshan team is likely to visit corporation in shortly.

He advised the officials to take care of arrangements for the team. Services of sweeping machines and smart JCBs have to be used, he said. Harinath Reddy also enquired about the status of the developmental works that are under progress in the city. He directed the Municipal Engineer, Deputy Engineer and Assistant Engineer to expedite the works without compromising in quality.

Municipal Health Officer Ali Khan, Superintending Engineer Shiva Rami Reddy, Municipal Engineer Surendra Babu, Deputy Engineers Rasool, Rajasekhar and Manohar Reddy, Assistant Engineers Naresh, Nasir, Hari Krishna and Venkata Subbaiah, Superintendent Gangadhar, Sanitary Supervisor Murali, sanitary inspectors Ramana, Nagaraj and Maddaiah and others participated.
