Sadhana Samithi plans to lay siege to Parliament
Andhra Pradesh Pratyeka Hoda, Vibhajana Hameela Sadhana Samithi which comprises opposition parties has decided to continue the protests in the State and the capital Delhi demanding that the Union government accord Special Category Status to the state and fulfil the assurances made in the AP Re-Organisation Act.

The Sadhana Samithi conducted a round-table conference at I V Palace function hall here on Sunday under the leadership of its president Chalasani Srinivas and discussed the future course of action to be followed to get the Special Category Status (SCS).
The leaders have decided to fight in co-ordination and extend support to each other. The Opposition leaders came down heavily on the Telugu Desam government for double speak on the funds sanctioned to the State and the Central government for not fulfilling the assurances given in the Re-organisation Act.
CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna, CPM state secretary P Madhu, APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy, YSRCP Krishna district president Kolusu Parthasarathi and leaders of AAP, Jana Sena, Lok Satta, Samajwadi Party, civil society organisations, lawyers, Rythu Sangham leaders and social activists participated in the round-table conference.
The Left parties, YSRCP and Congress vowed to continue struggle till the Union government fulfilled the assurances given in the AP Re-organisation Act. Sadhana Samithi president Chalasani Srinivas announced the action plan of the Samithi.
APCC chief Raghuveera Reddy alleged that both TDP and BJP are not in favour of according Special Category Status to the State. He further said the Congress party will organise Atma Gowrava Deeksha from February 19 to 28 in all Revenue divisional offices in the State as part of the agitation for SCS and put the pressure on the Central government to fulfill the assurances given in the Re-organisation Act.
The State-level conference of the Hameela Sadhana Samithi will be held in Guntur on March 1 to discuss the implementation of the promises made in the State Re-organisation Act.
Round-table meetings will be organised in all 13 districts of the State from February 19 to March 1 to discuss the SCS. Songs related to the agitation will be released in Vijayawada on February 21.
Conferences will be organised in all universities of the State till March 1 on the assurances made in the Re-organisation Act and allotment of funds to the State by the Central government.
Members of the Samithi will take part in Deeksha in all mandal centres and the district headquarters of the State from March 2 to 4 and protests will be organised in the national capital Delhi from March 5 onwards.
The Sadhana Samithi has expressed solidarity to the Andhra Pradesh Joint Fact Finding Committee, which will organise meetings in the State. The APJF will organise one-day Deekhsa in Ongole on February 19 and awareness meetings in Chennai and Karnataka on February 25 and 28 respectively.
Similarly, the YSRCP will stage protests at the District Collectorates on March 1. Candle rally will be taken out in Vizag beach on March 5 under the aegis of Uttarandhra Charcha Vedika. Sadhana Samithi will lay siege to the Parliament from March 5 to 10 in Delhi.
YSRCP will stage a dharna in Delhi on March 5 and the Congress party to observe Deeksha in Delhi on March 6 and 7 and conduct Chalo Parliament on March 8.
Public meeting will be held at Rajamahendravaram on April 20. The Opposition leaders have made it clear that they would continue the agitation to put pressure on the Union government to accord SCS and implement the assurances given in the Reorganisation Act.
