Call for gender diversity in employment

Visakhapatnam: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, (HPCL) Visakh Refinery celebrated the International Women’s Day on Thursday. All the women force of the corporation were present and celebrated the day on a joyous note.

Joint Collector G Srijana was the chief guest on the occasion and addressed on women empowerment and underlined that every human being should be equally respected.

Addressing a gathering, Executive Director of HPCL-VR GSVSSS Prasad Sarma complimented the women force of HPCL and encouraged them to extend their best to society. The women employees expressed their gratitude for being fortunate enough to work for HPCL and thanked the management for the concern.

Chief General Manager-Materials ASV Ramanan spoke about the how women need to be self-sustained balancing both professional and personal life. BK Madhuri from Brahmakumaris spoke on the importance of meditation in daily life. Andhra University Professor Ratnakumari spoke about gender diversity and how a few areas need to be improved with respect to women employment.

General Manager HR Narisetty Raja Rao, Chief Manager–HR Sudha Mohan, Officer-HR M Hari Priya and Chief Manager (PR) US Sarma also spoke.
