He enquired about their working atmosphere, welfare and wished all them a bright future ahead. DRM said the women always played a key role in the glorious journey of railways.

They shoulder responsibility in all the fields, including safety, he added. He further stated that an exclusive women gang will be formed to take care of track maintenance.

The women employees said they are happy with the work nature and are aware of all the railway administration work. They also expressed their happiness to serve the nation through railways.

The East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation, Waltair Division, felicitated 26 women railway employees for their outstanding contribution to the organisation and commitment to duty.
