Chandrababu Naidu playing drama on Special Category Status: Jagan
YSRCP president and leader of opposition in Assembly YS Jaganmohan Reddy said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been enacting drama on Special Category Status (SCS).
Guntur: YSRCP president and leader of opposition in Assembly YS Jaganmohan Reddy said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been enacting drama on Special Category Status (SCS).
His Praja Sankalpa Yatra entered Guntur district at Stuvartpuram on 110th day on Monday. He interacted with farmers and fishermen. Addressing a public meeting at Bapatla, Jaganmohan Reddy alleged that when asked support for no-confidence motion, the TDP did not respond. He said if 25 MPs in the state mounted pressure on the Centre, we will get the SCS.
Accusing the Chief Minister of neglecting the interests of the state, he reminded people that till December 14, 2014 the Planning Commission was in force and Naidu neglected to raise the issue of the SCS before that time.
He further said that after YSRCP started mounting pressure on the Centre for the SCS, Naidu also changed his stand to gain political mileage. He said that though two Union ministers of TDP resigned from the Union Cabinet, the TDP did not come out of the alliance.
The YSRCP chief said that farmers are suffering a lot due to lack of remunerative price for their agriculture produce. He said that the farmers are getting notices from the banks to repay crop loans. He said that the crop loan waiver scheme was not property implemented. Jagan wondered whether any farmer got benefited under the Crop Loan Waiver scheme so far.
He further said that as unemployed engineering graduates are going to Hyderabad and Bangalore cities for jobs, Naidu had conducted a summit at Vizag spending crores of rupees. He said that though the Chief Minister was conducting summits, we are not getting industries to generate employment opportunities. “Naidu is telling lies and cheating people,” he said.
Recalling that the Chief Minister assured unemployed allowance after coming to power, he said nothing has been done in this regard, thus cheating them. He said that every unemployed youth would have gotten Rs.94,000 from the government for the last four years if the scheme was implemented.
Jagan said that fishermen are facing lot of problems due to non-release of subsidy on diesel. He added that the government is not registering boats of fishermen to avoid subsidy burden. He reminded people that the number of belt shops increased during the TDP ruling and if we ring, liquor bottles are being delivered at doorsteps.
He criticised that Arogyasri scheme was not valid in Hyderabad, which was introduced by then chief minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and assured that if YSRCP came to power with the blessings of the people he would take steps that the scheme will be valid if surgeries are performed in Bangalore, Hyderabad also. He assured Rs 10,000 pension to the patients suffering from kidney ailments.
