Vijayawada: Chandranna Sanchara Chikista Contracts Employees Union demanded that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu solve their problems. They paid tribute to 104 driver S Mohan Rao and paramedical staff Santhosha Kumari A at a meeting organised here on Tuesday.

Disclosing their action plan on the strike, they said that 250 vehicles of (104) service employees were on strike out of 277 vehicles to solve their demands.

Announcing the action plan to fulfil their demands, they said on April 25, a round-table meeting will be organised with leaders of various political parties. On April 26, a protest will be held at the RTO office, on April 27 they would protest in a novel way, on April 28, they would form a human chain, on April 30, they would organise a rasta roko, on May 1, they would stage a half- naked protest and on May 2, ‘Chalo Vijayawada’, according to organising secretary VR Phani kumar.

The demands were to provide insurance, registration certificate, road tax and fitness for Chandranna Sanchara Chikitsa (104) vehicles. They demanded maternity leave and extra pay for over time according to Labour Act. State president B Ravichandra, district president V Nageswara Rao, secretary J Simhachalam and others were present.
