Heavy rains lash Kadapa
Normal life was thrown out of gear in several places across the district on Tuesday due to heavy rainsaccompanied by thunder and strong winds. Tents set up for annadanamon the occasion ofaradhanostavams of Veerabrahmendra Swamy at B Matam were uprooted.

For more than one-hour-and-a-half, devotees drenched in rain, who came in large number to participate in the aradhanostavams, as there was no proper shelter. Meanwhile, three women working in the field have suffered critical injuries when lightning struck them at Somireddypalle in B Matam mandal.
The were shifted to area hospital in Badvel. Mango gardens were damaged in 500 acres inChakrayapet mandal due to heavy rains. Banana and lemon crops were also destroyed in Pullampet and Badvel mandals.
