Addressing a press conference at Press Club here, Veerraju said as a Chief Minister it is his duty to protect the people, but it is pitying to note that Naidu,who was heading a state, asking the people to shield him from some parties.

He said Naidu feeling insecure is not correct and he is preparing a ground for him. Why he is opposing Governor, who praised him many a times in Visakhapatnam and Amaravati also.

The Governor administered the oath with YSRCP MLAs as ministers on the advice of Chief Minister, he added. Why Naidu is taking the Governor into confidence is a million-dollar question and it shows his disrespect towards the constitution,he averred and advised Naidu not to panic the people by making such controversial statements.

Stating that Panchayat Raj Day was aimed to discuss the problems, if any, in the villages and settle them before 2022, he added but Naiduused the dais to his own ends and to hide his failures.

The government is implementing many welfare schemes of Centre by changing its names from many years and the Union government neverquestioned this, he pointed out. Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of his foreign tour will enter MoUs with many companies for the development of country,
