Eluru: Collector K Bhaskar has warned the government employees not to indulge in open criticism and issuance of press statements. He made it clear that if any employee did not follow the government’s CCA Rules, they have to lose their jobs. The collector conducted review meeting of education progress held at Collectorate here on Thursday.

Addressing the meeting, the collector said no government employee should talk against the government and issue press statements as per the government rules. If anyone issued or criticised it is a crime according to the law.

He clarified that he never entrusts a work to the employees on his own and only the works entrusted by the government should be implemented, he stated. “I do not want to trouble anyone. However, the employees, teachers, medical staff should do the works entrusted by the government without fail,” he added.

He said that biometric attendance would be implemented to the students in the schools from next academic year. “I had directed the officials to photograph the students who attend classes with a view to minimise the burden on teachers. However, some teachers are saying that photography is not our job. Biometric attendance to students will take much time. However, the photography of students just takes 2 seconds.

Why the teachers obstructing the photography” he questioned. He questioned the DEO Renuka for not submitting the report of teacher’s biometric attendance school-wise. He expressed his dissatisfaction over the educational officials for not opening a special account for the funds released from State government to construct kitchen sheds. “It is not good on the part of education officials.

I talked with treasury officer and opened the special account within the one-and-half hour”, he pointed out. The Collector said he is trying to save the educational system and suggesting accordingly. However, if the teachers take those directions as negative, they are the ultimate sufferers, he warned.

He asked as to why the educational officers were here when they did not implement the orders in the field level. “Some officials told on the remedial classes stating that April temperature is high and will conduct in May as the temperatures might be low. How I must treat such people.

The persons even do not know when the sunny days are, and highest temperatures recorded” DEO C Renuka and other officials participated in the review meeting.
