Nambur: A week-long faculty development programme on ‘Computational fluid dynamics’ commenced at Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology (VVIT) here on Sunday for mechanical engineering faculty of various engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh and & Telangana.

Chief guest D. Santhosh Duraiswamy, Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department, BMS Engineering College, Bengaluru, delivered the key-note address. Addressing the participants, he explained the importance of fluid dynamics, a core mechanical engineering course that enables them to excel in research and development. He advised the faculty to update their knowledge.

He also emphasised that computational fluid dynamics has the efficacy to change the face of technology. He commended efforts of VVIT for conducting the advanced programmes for the development of faculty.
