Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said that the government was bringing more reforms in the medical and health sector to minimise the health expenditure of the people. Utilising Information Technology and advanced medical infrastructure, quality medical services would be ensured to the last end villages in the state.
Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said that the government was bringing more reforms in the medical and health sector to minimise the health expenditure of the people. Utilising Information Technology and advanced medical infrastructure, quality medical services would be ensured to the last end villages in the state.
“The government is bringing Australian technology to control the contagious diseases in the state,” Naidu said. The government is working to make Andhra Pradesh a world’s best medical hub. The government would promote innovations, incubations, entrepreneurship and start ups in medical sector on a large scale, the Chief Minister said.
Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the first of its kind AP Health Fest-2018 in the city on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, he revealed several reforms to be brought into the medical sector in the state. In order to identify and observe the world’s best medical practices and to implement those practices in the state, the AP Health Fest is being organised.
“Happy Health is the motto of the state government. Right from the birth to death all the advanced medical services have been brought to the state. Under the PPP model super specialty doctors services are being brought to all the government hospitals.
Andhra Pradesh is the first state in South India in signing an agreement with the Centre for ‘Ayushman Bharat’ mission. With this mission all the advanced medical services will be brought to the people”, Chandrababu Naidu said.
He predicted that in the coming days health data would be big wealth and analysis and examination to find out solution to the medical challenges.
World Bank Senior Health Specialist Sheena Chabraw said that AP State stood in the eighth place in providing best medical services among all the big states.
The World Bank has sanctioned $ 327 million to the state to take up more advanced health projects, Sheena said. Special Chief Secretary, Health Poonam Malakondaiah, Advisor to the Government on Health Dr Jitendra Sharma and World Bank team members spoke.
AMRIT Launched:
Earlier, the Chief Minister launched AMRIT valley (Affordable Medicines and Reliable Implants for Treatment) in the city. Andhra Pradesh government and Union Ministry of Ayush are jointly organising the AMRIT under Public, Private Partnership mode.
The Chief Minister launches four projects at the Health Fest. 40 e-sub centres, to provide all health services to tribals in all agency areas. 14 more dialysis centres in addition to the present 34 centres
Bala Suraksha Yojana Scheme, to conduct all medical tests from class 1 to 10 students at all government schools. CM inaugurated 34 medical vans for the scheme. Radio Frequency Identification Wrist Band: To check the infant thefts in the government hospitals.
