50-year-old held for raping minor girl
The Tanguturu police arrested a 50-year-old man on Monday for allegedly raping a 9-year-old daughter of his neighbour. Women commission member Tammisetty Ramadevi consoled the girl and her family members at the RIMS Ongole and directed the police to book cases against old man under all respective sections for resorting to the heinous crime.

According to Childline representative BV Sagar, Annapureddy Venkateswarlu is a 50-year-old and lives with his wife in Karumanchi village of Tangutur mandal. A family with three children lives beside them and they both visit each other houses very often.
On Sunday afternoon, Venkateswarlu walked into the house of neighbour to find only the 3rd class studying watching TV at home. He increased the volume of TV and allegedly raped her. The mother of girl inquired what happened after seeing the blood stains in the evening. On Monday, the family lodged a complaint with Tangutur police. The police shifted the girl to RIMS Ongole for checkup.
