Anti-Corruption Bureau officials started inquiry into Rs 800 crore cotton purchases scam in 2014-2015 in the state. The ACB officials met Agriculture Marketing Commissioner I Samuel Anand Kumar in Guntur city and collected the details of officials and employees who received memos in the scam and their cell phone numbers and details of cotton purchases also.

The ACB officials met Agriculture Marketing Commissioner I Samuel Anand Kumar in Guntur city and collected the details of officials and employees who received memos in the scam and their cell phone numbers and details of cotton purchases also.

It may be mentioned that the Agriculture Market Department conducted internal inquiry into cotton scam and issued memo to 98 officials. The Vigilance and Enforcement department conducted inquiry and submitted a report to the government. The CBI conducted inquiry into the scam and booked cases against 12-officials.
