Rajamahendravaram: Deputy Chief Minister and revenue minister K E Krishnamurthy said that the government was bringing many reforms in revenue department and Bhudhar, unique ID for lands, was one among them.

Reviewing the progress of various works in Rajamahendravaram Parliamentary constituency at R&B guest house here on Tuesday, Krishnamurthy said under Bhudhar, land details would be collected through satellites which helps the department as well as to the respective land owners a lot. Training was also be imparted to respective revenue staff in this regard, he added.

The minister said district collectors had been directed to address the complaints received on ration shops, adding that the government was strengthening public distribution system in the state.

He directed the officials to complete the works as per schedule with quality and asked them to mingle with the people and said the government is contemplating to regularise the sites which fall under 22 A section, which categorises private lands as government ones.

MP Maganti Murali Mohan underlined the need to merge Gopalapuram area into Kovvur division, instead of Jangareddygudem as the people are facing problem.

Rural MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary asked the Deputy Chief Minister to allot lands for the construction of houses to the poor people. MLC Adireddy Appa Rao underscored the need to give exemption to the house sites from 22 A section.

Mayor PRS Sai, Anaparthi MLA N R K Reddy, sub-collector C M Saikanth Varma, municipal commissioner Sumit Kumar Gandhi and officials were present.
