Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister N Chinarajappa expressed deep condolences over the demise of builder, architect and civil engineer GVVSLV Subba Rao during his pilgrimage to Manasarovar.

He visited the residence of Subba Rao here on Wednesday and consoled his family members.

The family members of Subba Rao informed the deputy CM that Subba Rao along with 34 others went to Mukti Dham in Nepal on pilgrimage and from there went to Manasarovar Yatra.

Due to climatic conditions, Subba Rao died on Monday there, they informed.

The deputy CM said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the situation at Manasarovar with concerned officials and would take all necessary measures for the safety of pilgrims from the state.
