LED screens at Rytu Bazaars in state
The agriculture marketing department will set up Digital LED screens in all important Rytu Bazaars in the state to display prices of vegetables, welfare schemes being implemented by the government and commercial advertisements. Depending upon the Rytu Bazaars, the maintenance cost of of Rytu Bazars is Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh per month.
Guntur: The agriculture marketing department will set up Digital LED screens in all important Rytu Bazaars in the state to display prices of vegetables, welfare schemes being implemented by the government and commercial advertisements. Depending upon the Rytu Bazaars, the maintenance cost of of Rytu Bazars is Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh per month.
At present the Agriculture Market Committees are bearing the maintenance expenditure. The government is assuming that if the digital screens are set up, the Agriculture Market Committees would get some income, hence, they would bear maintenance expenditure of Rytu Bazaars from this income. The maintenance of digital screens would be given to the advertisement agency soon for better management.
Initially, the Agriculture Market Department would set up digital screen on a pilot basis at Chuttugunta Rytu Bazaar in Guntur and Swaraj Rytu Bazaar in Vijayawada. Based on the response, they would set up digital screens in all the important Rytu Bazaars in the state soon.
During the first phase, they would set up digital screens at 50 Rytu Bazaars across the state. The Agriculture Market Department to call tenders to purchase the Digital LED screens soon.
Speaking to The Hans India, Agriculture Market Commissioner I Samuel Anand Kumar said: “We will set up Digital LED screens at all important Rytu Bazaars in the state soon. We will call tenders to set up Digital LED Screens at all important Rytu Bazaars in the state soon”.
