Rajamahendravaram: City MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana has said that the government is trying to provide houses to all by the year 2022 and constructing lakhs of houses under various schemes.
Inaugurating newly constructed houses under NTR Housing Scheme in Anand Nagar here on Wednesday, he asked the beneficiaries to stay in the houses allotted to them and not to sell them.
The government was giving a subsidy of Rs 1.5 lakh who wants to construct houses in their own land and advised them to avail this opportunity.
The government was working towards realising the dream of poor people of their own house and said there was no dearth of funds for housing scheme. Many schemes were available to get a own house, he added.
MLC Adireddy Appa Rao, Godavari Urban Development Authority chairman Ganni Krishna and others were present.
