Amalapuram: An awareness programme on installation of CC cameras was organised for gold and silver traders by Amalapuram subdivision police here on Friday.
Addressing the traders, subdivision police officer AVL Prasanna Kumar said that for control of thefts, every trader should install CC cameras in the vicinity of their business complex.
The SDPO on this occasion said that in order to check offences and thefts, the police installed 19 CC cameras at important junctions in the town.
In addition to these, the traders should install the CC camas at their business paces, the official said.
Representatives of gold and silver traders D Baby, Ch Krishna and others attended.
