Visakhapatnam: Three bodies were recovered from farm well at Chukkapalli village of Cheedikada mandal near Chodavaram in the district on Sunday. According to Chodavaram Circle Inspector M Srinivas, the deceased were identified as Semanthula Bhavani, 40 and her two children, Jayanthi, 12 and Vara Lakshmi, 8.

The CI said, Semanthula Bhavani, who went to collect grass from farm along with her two children on Saturday and did not return home. Bhavani was residing with her two children after her husband died due to ill-health two years ago.

She is getting income to maintain the family by cultivating their 50 cents of land along with her children. According to police, the children might have went near the well to fetch water and accidentally slipped into it and drowned. To rescue the children, Bhavani might have jumped into well but she was also drowned.

Police also said it was an accidental death as Bhavani had no financial crisis as she was having 50 cents of land on her name in the village. Police shifted the bodies to government hospital for autopsy. Chodavaram police registered a case.
