Prof K Niranjan takes charge as AU Registrar

Visakhapatnam: Prof K Niranjan, Dean, Academic Affairs and Professor of Space Physics, assumed charge as Registrar of Andhra University here on Saturday at Andhra University.
The executive council on Friday appointed Niranjan as Registrar in place of V Umamaheswara Rao.
Niranjan is a senior professor of space physics. He has won State Meritorious Teacher Award 2013 from the state government, UGC- BSR Award from the University Grants Commission, New Delhi.
He also attended national and international conferences and seminars on space physics in the US, Japan and other countries.
Prof G Nageswara Rao, Vice-Chancellor, principals K Ramamohana Rao, PS Avadhani, PT Vinod Rao, P Hariprakash, DVR Murthy, deans, officers, heads of departments, faculty, research scholars and others greeted Prof Niranjan.
