Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar Gandhi said that an action plan was devised to provide basic amenities in all the 50 divisions in the city. Officials of various wings were directed to identify the works.
He inspected various places such as Alcot Gardens, Indira Veedhi, Shivaji Veedhi, Godavari Bund, Bhagat Singh Road, Subayyamma Ghat, post office road, railway station in 19th division along with division corporator G Madhavi Latha and officials.
Later, he directed the engineering officials to provide basic facilities in auditorium, construct a fountain near park along with proper lighting, compound wall to the municipal school, fixing of radium stickers to the divider at railway station.
He also advised the officials to prepare a plan to strengthen Godavari bund where many people were residing adjacent to it. The Commissioner directed the city planner not to allow permanent structures near to the bund.
The Commissioner advised engineers to contact irrigation department officials to reduce water level at Subbayamma ghat to take up cleaning work there.
City planner Vara Prasad, superintending engineer Om Prakash, health officer Dr MVR Murthi, executive engineer PS Kumari and others were present.
