Chittoor: The first Anna Canteen in Chittoor district would be opened here on July 20, according to Chittoor Municipal Commissioner P Obulesh. Speaking to The Hans India here on Tuesday, the civic chief mentioned that a breakfast and meals for two times would be served for Rs 15 only.
He stated the Anna Canteen building was constructed on the premises of the ITI building at a cost of Rs 35 lakh and said Tirupati-based NGO was entrusted with the task of providing breakfast and meals in Anna Canteen.
Centrally air-conditioned building with compound wall would be inaugurated by Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy. He said two more Anna Canteens would be come up shortly in the city.
