Vijayawada: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids on the residences of Emani Satyanarayana, environmental engineer, Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board, at Maruti Cooperative Housing Society Colony, Gurunanak Nagar, Vijayawada and his relatives in other places in the state and Hyderabad and seized documents related to properties worth Rs 15 crore.

The officials also recovered property documents in Nellore, Kakinada, Vizag, Rajamahendravaram, Yadadri and Ranga Reddy districts in Telangana during their raids. Acting on credible information, the sleuths conducted raids on the houses of Satyanarayana and noticed movable and immovable properties worth crores of rupees. They booked disproportionate assets case and arrested him.

According to DG of ACB, R P Thakur, Satyanarayana had earlier worked in Kakinada, Rajamahendravaram, Nellore, Vizag and Hyderabad since he joined service as a junior engineer in AP Pollution Control Board in 1989.

The officials seized documents related to six house site plots, four apartment flats and agriculture land to the extent of 4.4 acres, which were registered on his name and his family members wife, son and daughter.

The properties held in the name of accused Satyanarayana are a flat with built up area of 1,660 square feet in Miyapur, Ranga Reddy district, Telangana.

Assets held in the name of his wife E Malathi are a housing plot measuring 432 square yards located in Bhaskar Nagar, Rajamahendravaram, a housing plot measuring 200 square yards located in Yalamanchili, Visakhapatnam.

Assets registered in the name of his son E Pavan Kumar are two plots measuring 266 square yards and 260 square yards in Nellore city. A plot measuring 400 square yards in Yadagirigutta, Yadadri district in Telangana. An apartment flat with built up area of 1,555 square feet located at Miyapur at Serilingampalli mandal of Ranga Reddy district.

Agriculture land of 4.4 acres located in Pellakuru mandal of Nellore district. Properties held in the name his daughter E Gayatri are an apartment flat with built up area of 1,480 square feet located in RTC colony, Kakinada, a 52-square yard plot located in RTC colony, Kakinada.

A cash of Rs 8.50 lakh was found at his residence in Vijayawada, a cash of Rs 22 lakh found in bank lockers, fixed deposits worth Rs 52 lakh, bank balance Rs 53 lakh, house hold articles worth Rs 8.30 lakh, jewellery articles 1 kg, silver articles 6 kgs, a four-wheeler, Maruti Wagnor and 2 two-wheelers. The accused Satyanarayana was produced in the court, said Thakur.
