Guntur: Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao directed the officials to take steps to conduct national-level sports meet at Narasaraopet stadium to encourage players.
He addressed a meeting held at R&B Guest House here on Tuesday.
Speaking on this occasion, he instructed the officials to conduct sports every month in the stadium and prepare sports calendar for this purpose.
He directed the officials to construct compound walls to the government schools.
He further said that they will set the foundation stone to construct Sports Academy building on July 26.
He directed the R&B officials to construct high-level bridges at Sattenapalli and Narasaraopet town to check problem caused by rain water.
He instructed the officials to widen the roads at Parecherla town.
He directed the officials to take up construction of high-level bridge at Yennadevi in the district and also discussed on construction of bridge between Sattenapali and Narasaraopet town.
He instructed them to take up road-widening works between Kondumedu and Paracherla.
