Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu instructed the officials to move the journalist housing scheme proposal to Group of Ministers (GoM) for allotment of 35 acres in Amaravati. Nearly 2,000 journalists would get benefit from the decision.

The representatives of Amaravati Accredited Journalists Housing Society met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his residence at Undavalli and submitted a representation for allotment of land to journalists’ housing scheme here on Friday.

On this occasion, Naidu directed the senior officials to take immediate action in this regard. The journalists also thanked the Chief Minster for taking action for land allotment. Amaravati Journalist Housing Society representatives K Varlu, PMR Chandrasekhar, Kanaparthi Srinivasa Rao, Bhargav, Eswar, Kalyan, Chava Ravi and others were present.
