Visakhapatnam: The annual ‘Giri Pradakshina’ festival concluded on Friday afternoon. Over five lakh devotees participated in the 32-km long Giri Pradakshana and performed special rituals to Lord Srivarahalakshmi Nrusimha Swamy.

However, with the huge turnout at all major locations, including NAD Cross Roads, Gopalapatnam, Prahladapuram areas, the vehicular traffic came to a halt from 6 am to 12 pm.Over one lakh devotees could not have darshan after completing the Giri Pradakshina as the temple was closed due to lunar eclipse.

The devotees, who took part in the walk, appreciated the arrangements made by the GVMC, endowments, police, medical and health departments. The devotees also thanked the organisations, associations and individuals, who served them with food, drinks and medical aid during the walk.
