Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation staff protest over commissioner’s suspension
The Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation RMC Employees Associations members participated in a protest programme, during lunch hour on the office premises here, on Thursday demanding that the Collector Karthikeya Misra revoke the suspension of the Pithapuram municipal commissioner
Rajamahendravaram: The Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) Employees Association’s members participated in a protest programme, during lunch hour on the office premises here, on Thursday demanding that the Collector Karthikeya Misra revoke the suspension of the Pithapuram municipal commissioner.
The association member’s alleged that the government was using the services of municipal commissioners also as assistant returning officers,mounting work to be a burden on them.
They demanded that the government should give exemption to municipal commissioners as assistant returning officers with the immediate effect.
The association will continue the protests for three days during the lunch hour.
The Additional commissioner NVV Satyananrayana Rao, deputy commissioner T Raja Gopal, health officer Dr MVR Murthi, manager Srinivas and other association members were present.
