Vijayawada: Namma toilets established at the commercial places of one-town were inspected by the civic chief, J Nivas on Thursday.

He conducted a field-level inspection of the toilets along with sanitary and other officers. On observing leakages of unhygienic conditions at the toilets, the Commissioner expressed his ire on the sanitary staff and instructed them to rectify the problem on a war-footing.

He said that water should be made available at toilets of the commercial areas of one-town. The Commissioner inspected the toilets established at 11 different locations in one-town.

Later, the Commissioner visited and conducted a ground-level inspection of the collapsed wall near Kothapet Drinking Water Reservoir at Brahmamgari Matt.

The commissioner said the wall fell on the kitchen of municipal school and the residential houses at the lower areas.

He inspected the damaged portion of the school kitchen and ordered the concerned officers to remove the debris and construct the damaged portion.

Corporator K Anuradha, executive engineers K Koteswara Rao, ANS Prasad, deputy executive engineer Ranga Rao and others were present.
