Vasavya Mahila Mandali VMM organised a two day data collection programme on sexual harassment of women at public places here on Wednesday and Thursday
Vijayawada: Vasavya Mahila Mandali (VMM) organised a two-day data collection programme on sexual harassment of women at public places here on Wednesday and Thursday.
The workshop was organised by VMM with the support of US Consulate.
CLAPP Mahila Mitra members of six police stations of North and Central zones in Vijayawada city limits participated in the programme.
The motto of the meeting was to collect the data of the sexual harassment on women.
The consultant of this meeting Swetha discussed with the gathering about the public places where harassment mostly occurs, and causes of no response from the women though they had suffered sexual harassment.
She also discussed the feelings of the women and men at the time of sexual harassment on women.
About 25 CLAAP members and coordinators participated in the programme and they learned how to collect the data from male and the female.
City police, Vasavya Mahila Mandali members and others were present.
