Visakhapatnam: Traffic police organised a special drive to curb rash driving and stunts here on Saturday at the Beach Road. Later, they conducted counselling to the youth, along with their parents, here on Sunday at Police Barracks.

During the special drive, police identified over 100 bike riders, who were performing stunts. And they found that most of the two wheelers are installing designed number boards which are against the RTA rules, horns, and silencers were replaced with double sounds. During the special drive, they found that over 75 per cent of them are below 18 years and most of them did not have proper documents and driving licences.

Addressing the youth and parents during the counselling, DCP K Fakeerappa said that considering the future of the teenagers, he warned them without taking any action and conducted counselling to the parents and explained to them about the danger of rash driving.

He also advised the parents not to allow their children to ride two-wheeler without proper documents and driving licence. He warned of taking action against the students if they ride the two wheeler sans licence and documents.
