Nellore: The Central Crime Station (CCS) and Vedayapalem cops arrested three habitual offenders and recovered booty worth Rs 7.3 lakh from them on Tuesday. The seized valuables are 391 grams of gold, 2 kilos of silver, a television, 5 mobiles, 2 motorcycles and a knife from the accused.
Additional SP B Parameswar Reddy disclosed the case details at CCS in the city here on Tuesday. He said the accused were identified as M Navin, K Pavan, and Shaik Nayab. He said that Navin from Yeswanthpur in Bengaluru city limits and Pavan is from Stonehousepeta and Shaik Nayab Rasool from Mypadu gate in the city have committed offences in the district.
The trio involved in 4 dacoity cases on the national highway, 5 house breakings and 5 chain snatching cases in the district, he said. Navin and Pavan were also convicted in many cases in Tirupati, Bengaluru, Nalgonda and also in Nellore areas earlier, said the Additional SP.
Keeping a vigil on the movements of the accused, CCS cops formed a special team to nab the trio and finally they were arrested at NHAI Building close to Ayyappaswamy temple on the city outskirts.
Fourteen cases were filed against the accused in Vedayapalem, Nawabpet, Nellore Rural, Buchireddypalem, Venkatachalam, Balajinagar, Dagadarthi and also in Kodavalur Police Station limits. CCS Circle Inspector Sk Bobbyjan Saida, Vedayapalem Circle Inspector Narasimha Rao and other cops were present.
