SRKR students project wins prize from AP State Innovation Society in Bhimavaram

Bhimavaram: The Startup company project, formed by the students of Civil Engineering department of SRKR Engineering College, received first prize and also received a cash prize of Rs 75,000 from AP State Innovation Society, said the college secretary and correspondent, Sagi Vittal Rangaraju here on Wednesday.

He said that S Satyasundari and M Sravani of second year and T Shyamsumanth of final year received the award in women entrepreneur category. 

He congratulated the winners for getting good reputation to the college and for winning the award.

The college technology centre head Dr N Gopalakrishna Murthy said that about 2,500 students participated in the workshop organised by Startup India, AP State Innovation Society at Gitam University campus from September 9 to 11 on 125 projects. 

He said students of 15 projects from the college participated in the workshop and SRKR College was declared first for ‘eco-friendly tiles’, ‘Cubes used in drainage to repel mosquitoes’ he added.

The college management and staff congratulated the winners.
