Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Contributory Pension Scheme Employees Union (APCPSEU) state president Godugu Pratap, blamed the government for wasting time by forming a committee to pursue the matter on CPS.

A meeting was held by the members of the union here on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Pratap said the members had discussed at length on committee formed by the government and came to a conclusion to oppose the committee.

He further demanded that the government cancel CPS which was implemented on September 1, 2004 and implement the old pension system and provide social and financial security to the employees.

He said that the State government was diluting the issue by playing the blame game by involving the Central government.

He said that the government should give a clear decision failing which all the 1.84 lakh employees in entire state would intensify their protest from October 2, he added.

Union secretary CS Das, treasurer Rahamatullah, and leader Nagaraju and others were present.
