Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh chapter of Telemedicine Society of India will organise 14th edition of International conference ‘Telemedicon-2018’ for the first time in AP at the new capital of Amaravati, starting from November 1 to 3.

The organising committee chairman, Dr RLN Murthy said here on Monday that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu would inaugurate the three-day international conference.

Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare JP Nadda would participate on the concluding day event. State Indian Medical Association chapters from across the country will participate as resource persons along with doctors from modern medicine and Ayush, said Murthy.

Medical Practitioners, Hospital Administrators and Corporate Leaders in Health Care and Technocrats along with the post graduate students of medical colleges will be participating as delegates from all over India, he said.

Experts from Indian Space Research Organistion and national defense dignitaries would be participate as presenters in this important event. Representatives from the government and NGOs will also be addressing the conference.

NTR UHS Vice-Chancellor Dr CV Rao said that the theme of the conference is ‘Doctor at your Doorsteps’ and the objective is to popularise Tele-medicine and to reduce mortality especially of the people in the rural and remote areas apart from providing timely, expert management.
