Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will take part in the police martyrs commemoration Day at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium on October 21.

The police department made arrangements for the event which will take place at 8 a.m. DGP R P Thakur, Commissioner of Police Dwaraka Tirumala Rao and other police officials on Saturday inspected the arrangements at the IGMC stadium.

Chief Minister will present the awards and merit certificates to the police personnel on the occasion and will pay tributes to the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives serving the nation.

In Vijayawada Commissioner of Police Dwaraka Tirumala Rao and other police officers and staff donated blood at the Command Control room.

In Machilipatnam Superintendent of Police S Tripati and other police officials donated blood and monitored the arrangements for the police martyrs commemoration Day to be observed on October 21.
