Kakinada: The BJP East Godavari unit as per the call given by the party state committee staged dharna at the district Collectorate on Wednesday on the first day of the three-day fast in support of AgriGold victims.
Addressing the dharna, MLC Somu Veerraju said that the ruling TDP had been cheating the 32 lakh AgriGold depositors in the last four years with a promise to settle the issue.
The senior BJP leader alleged that several TDP leaders and MLAs kept their eye on the properties of AgriGold.
The MLC said that BJP will definitely block this attempt and stand by those who are waiting for justice to get back their investment.
Party district unit president Y Malakondayya and others participated.
