Special sanitation drive launched

Kakinada: The municipal corporation, as part of special sanitation drive taken up in the city, lifted garbage piled up in various areas in Division Nos 34, 36 and 42.

The municipal authorities have taken up the especial sanitation drive in view of spreading of dengue and other viral fevers in Kakinada city and Kakinada rural mandal.

There is widespread criticism that the city has no permanent dumping yard for the last two decades.

The municipal staff has been dumping the waste at vacant places resulting in spread of viral fevers.
