Isaiah demands probe into attack on YS Jagan

Kurnool: YSRCP Nandikotkur MLA Y Isaiah has demanded an independent probe without involvement of state government investigating agencies into the attack on YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy inside the lounge of airport in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.

Addressing the media here on Friday, the MLA slammed Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his cabinet colleagues for politicising the issue when the entire state is in shock over the incident.

He alleged DGP RP Thakur gave statement in support of the ruling government without ordering for a probe. Responding to the statement of the Chief Minister that the Opposition leader had left for Hyderabad without registering a police complaint, Isaiah flayed Chandrababu for leaving Hyderabad and settling in Vijayawada fearing arrest in cash-for-vote case.

The YSRCP leader mentioned that he was an eyewitness when Srinivasa Rao had inflicted knife injury on the left shoulder of YS Jaganmohan Reddy at Visakhapatnam airport. He termed the incident as an unfortunate and unexpected one.
